I have many life events that have been left undocumented in my corner of the internet and I feel ready to get back into the swing of things. It’s been so long since I’ve journaled-even with pen and paper-and I have to be honest, I’m feeling rusty.
My intro feels inadequate, I’m deleting words and sentences as fast as I type them out, and I’m experiencing long pauses as I think of a thought worth writing.
Nevertheless! One must start somewhere.
I’m thinking August 28, 2017 is a good place to begin. It happens to be the day we closed on our house in North Carolina. I have to be honest too; The buying process has changed a lot since we purchased our first home in 2005 and we found it to be quite the harrowing experience. Eventually though, everything fell into place and we signed a few sheets of paper that made me happy and fearful all at the same time.
On September 1, we moved into our house on one of the most hot and stormy days you can imagine. I’m talking tornado kind of stormy.
And ever since that day, we’ve practically made Lowe’s our second home. Ha!
More to come later, but I figure this is a good start.
